Rotarians Relocate Monday Meetings

rotary club smallVidor Rotary Club has long met at Capital One Bank on Mondays at noon. But with the upcoming closing of the bank, the Rotarians rolled up their sleeves and moved their show across town to First United Methodist Church, where they now meet on Mondays at noon inside the church building. They have also rented a room in the Katie Pittman Activity Center to store the hundreds of books they have accumulated for their green bus Read and Feed program, which this summer will feed children eighteen and under Monday through Thursday beginning on June 5 and ending July 13. At that time, the Rotarians will resume their once-weekly summer book and lunch delivery.

The club is collaborating with Vidor ISD on summer feeding, and as always, will maintain their Flags on Main Street and Flags in the Park programs, hold their annual chili dinner on election day in November, award scholarships to graduating Vidor High School seniors, and host community-wide garage sales.  Vidor Rotary is a service club under the umbrella of Rotary International.
