Thanksgiving 2018 - Vidor, Texas

The City of Vidor offices will be closed for Thanksgiving Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23. Nevertheless, the Sanitation department will service its usual Thursday and Friday routes, so please have your container out by 6 am. Also, the Vidor Police Department will be patrolling as usual on this long, holiday weekend.

Anyone desiring to make a payment to either the Sanitation Department or the Municipal Court may use the appropriate drop box located in the rear parking lot of City Hall Municipal Building, or pay online at https://cityofvidor.com/pay-online

Thanksgiving Food Distribution


Orange County Disaster Rebuild has partnered up with Southeast Texas Food Bank and SETX Civilian Taskforce to do a Thanksgiving Food Distribution on Saturday November 17, 2018 at Orange County Convention & Expo Center located at 11475 FM 1442; Orange, Texas 77632 from 10am - 1pm, or until all goodies are gone.

This is a first come, first serve event and will serve families that reside in Orange County.

One distribution goodie box per vehicle and there will be no exceptions.

SETRPC Announces New Executive Director

Shanna Burke - SETRPC Executive Director
The South East Texas Regional Planning Commission (SETRPC) Executive Committee voted unanimously at its November 14, 2018 meeting to appoint Ms. Shanna Burke as the new SETRPC Executive Director, effective immediately.

Ms. Burke was born and raised in Southeast Texas and has lived in all three counties (Hardin, Jefferson and Orange) served by the SETRPC. She is a graduate of Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and a Masters Degree in Public Administration. In addition, she holds Professional Certifications from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and
the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).

She began working at the SETRPC in 1997 as a Criminal Justice Planner and has since held various positions within the agency, including Director of Criminal Justice Programs, Director of Public Safety Programs, Director of Disaster Recovery Programs, Director of Human Resources and most recently Interim Executive Director. Ms. Burke has extensive experience working with federal, state and local agencies, officials and grant funded programs.
