Audit Update
Citizens of Vidor, the staff at City Hall wishes to keep you informed with an update regarding the audits for the City of Vidor.
- The Annual 2021-2022 Fiscal Year Finalized Audit was presented and approved by the City Council at the August 24, 2023, meeting, with a clean and unmodified opinion from the City's CPA Firm.
- An extension for the Annual 2022/2023 Fiscal Year Audit was submitted to the City's CPA on December 27, 2023.
- All final documentation along with the requested support was provided to the CPA's office by May 5, 2024, and the auditors promptly began their review.
- We received a draft of the completed Annual 2022/2023 FY Audit on September 24, 2024.
- The City's CPA firm will present to Council the finalized Audit Report on Thursday, October 24, 2024. Throughout this process, we have maintained communication with all necessary organizations and are in excellent standing with all of our grants and current credit ratings for the City of Vidor.

We are reaching out to inform you about an important update regarding our sanitation services.
As you may know, the costs associated with providing sanitation services have risen due to various factors, including increased operational expenses, inflation, and changes in regulatory requirements. As a result, we will be adjusting our service rates, effective November 1, 2024. New rates per container are as follows:
• Residential Inside - $ 22.49
• Residential Outside - $ 27.96
• Senior Rate - $ 16.83
• Churches - $22.17
• 90 Gallon Commercial- Inside - $ 24.00
• 90 Gallon Commercial- Outside - $ 29.95
• 3 Yard Commercial Dumpster- Inside - $92.01
• 3 Yard Commercial Dumpster- Outside - $ 96.08
• 6 Yard Commercial Dumpster- Inside - $ 108.25
• 6 Yard Commercial Dumpster- Outside - $ 112.10
Each addition weekly pickup of dumpster service will incur 50% charge of the monthly service fee.
We understand that any increase in costs can be challenging, and we want to assure you that we are committed to maintaining the highest quality of service while keeping our prices as competitive as possible. This adjustment will help us continue to provide you with reliable and efficient sanitation services.
